Aya Ali

Director / Speech Pathologist / Feeding Therapist

Hi, I'm Aya!

I founded Gold Star Therapy with a vision to create a clinic that does things differently. I wanted families to feel genuinely heard, supported and valued through a personalised approach that recognises every child's individual strengths and needs.

I also wanted to build a passionate team that truly cares about children and families and is committed to making a lasting difference.

I have a particular passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and supporting children to develop their language and communication skills.

My favourite part of what I do is celebrating all of the small wins that lead to big milestones.

Fun fact: When I'm not in the clinic, you'll usually find me travelling, exploring new cafés or spending quality time with family and friends.

I'm particularly passionate about early intervention and supporting young children to build strong foundations for speech, language and communication. It's beautiful to see how these skills positively impact a child's confidence, independence and participation in everyday life.

When I'm not in the clinic, you'll find me exploring hidden gems around Sydney with friends, spending time with family or watching a movie.

I have a particular interest in supporting primary-school-aged children with language and literacy development, as well as working with young adults to build social and vocational skills.

Outside of work, I love going on matcha runs, attending concerts and stepping outside my comfort zone. Although I'm not naturally athletic, I've recently started trying basketball, golf and pilates.

I'm passionate about uplifting and encouraging children by recognising their individual strengths and supporting their communication development in a positive, nurturing environment.

What I love most about Gold Star Therapy is building meaningful connections with children, celebrating their achievements, and helping them grow in confidence while making communication fun, engaging and rewarding.

Fun fact: If I could, I would live at the beach. I love being by the ocean and could happily spend all day there.
